THE SHRIMPERS WERE JUBILIANT AFTER THEIR 4-3 VICTORY AGAINST A GOOD BURY SIDE AT RAM MEADOW ON MONDAY NIGHT IN THE THURLOW NUNN LEAGUE UNDER-23 DIVISION

Harwich did not get off to the best of starts when in the 7th minute a defensive slip was pounced on by Kush Benyu who gave Bury the lead.
The Shrimpers fought back and came close when Harry Conway's powerful 20-yard drive rattled the crossbar.
Jack Elvestad was working hard leading the Harwich attack and when the Shrimpers pressed he was well placed in the Bury goalmouth to hammer home the equaliser in the 12th minute.
The match continued to be end to end and highly competitive and half time came with the score still level at a goal apiece.
Bury came out for the second half all guns blazing and with only a minute gone Harwich goalkeeper Matt Huggins - recently named U23 supporters' player of the year - made a fine reaction save from point-blank range. However, in the 47th minute he had no chance when Rueben Truter's shot from the edge of the penalty area rocketed into thee net to restore Town's lead.
Harwich replaced Elvestad with Jaidan Smith, who was returning after injury, and immediately he had a one-on-one chance but put the his shot the wrong side of the post.
With an hour gone, Harwich were back on terms when, following a Freddy Bethell free kick, Smith this time made no mistake with a shot from close range.
Smith was causing the Bury defence problems and with 20 minutes remaining Harwich took the lead for the first time when after repelling a Bury attack, they broke away and from Darren Bethell's through ball Smith scored with a great finish from an acute angle.
It was proving to be an exciting match with the young Shrimpers fighting every inch of the way against an equally determined Bury team, but it was the experienced Darren Bethell who put Harwich firmly in the driving seat when he scored their fourth goal with a 20-yard shot.
In the closing seconds, Bury had some consolation for their part when their third goal was netted by Dennis Teixeira.
Harwich team: Matt Huggins, Tony Clarke, Oscar Warnes, Darren Bethell, Mitchell Knight, Alfie Robinson, Ewan Livingston, Freddy Bethell, Jack Elvestad, Harry Conway and Alex Pryke. Substitutes: Jaidan Smith, Solomon Griffiths, Henry Cross and Rory Breen.
