In the 15th minute Shrimpers goalkeeper Sam Felgate saved a point blank header from the unmarked Gabriel Odidi but within a minute. following a corner, Kane Messenger gave May and Baker the lead. Harwich were on terms 5 minutes later when Joe Knight crossed and Sean Barltlett netted. The first half ended with honours even and all to play for. May and Baker regained the lead in the 70th minute when Ben Saunders broke free down the right hand flank and gave Felgate no chance with an excellent finish into the far corner of the net. Harwich fought back and had the ball in the net only for Referee to consult his Assistant and disallow the goal. The Shrimpers could not be faulted for effort and were rewarded in the 80th minute when substitute Matt Geen slipped the ball inside the post for their second equaliser. Harwich finished the stronger with Rory Harman driving them on from midfield and pressed hard in their attempts for a winner. This was the Shrimpers 6th draw in their 16 matches and with the Managment rebuilding the team, there have been positive signs in the last couple of weeks.
