Harwich were without stalwart defender Michael Murray for this match and brought in Harvery Cowler to fill the gap whilst also re jigging their line-up. The Shrimpers found the artificial G4 surface at Pitsea difficult to adjust to against opponents more experienced to run of the ball. The Shrimpers were lacking a midfield play maker but did have a couple of scoring chances during a goaless first half. Harwich could not find their form in the second half and midway through Frenford took the lead when an attacker was unmarked in the penalty area and headed the ball home. . Goalkeeper Sam Felgate has been in fine form for Harwich this season and he made some fine saves to keep his team in the game.
