Harwich were without central defender Hayden Dutch who was injured on Saturday, and so switched skipper Nicky Palmer to partner Dan Clark. Harwich started well and had an early chance which Sean Bartlett was unable to convert. Play was even in the first half but Wivenhoe took the lead through Tom Larkin. Jake Plane had an opportunity for the Shrimpers whilst Harry Banner forced a good save from Wivenhoe keeper Ben Gallivant. Wivenhoe impressed with their speedy forwards thriving on long passes but Harwich continued to be in the game. Town's goal that settled the issue was a brilliant one with Jack Mead's lob sailing into the Shrimpers net.
