Harwich started brightly when, in the 5th minute, Louie Bloom laid off the ball to Joe Knight, who volleyed just wide.
However SOUL were soon justifying their high league position with dangerous attacks that saw a shot go inches past the post and also a header that skimmed the crossbar.
The first half belonged to SOUL but Harwich defended well to keep the scoreline goalless at the half-time interval.
The Shrimpers took the lead in the 50th minute when their captain, Alfie Canning, fired over a perfectly placed cross for the well-positioned Knight to shoot home.
Four minutes later Harwich scored their second goal with Canning initiating a well-constructed move that saw Knight cut inside before laying the ball off to Alfie Eldridge (pictured) and his well-taken shot again gave visiting goalkeeper William Betts no chance of stopping as it nestled just inside the post.

It seemed that Harwich would now go on to capture all 3 points and Rory Harman's 30-yard drive forced Betts to make an acrobatic leap to turn the ball over the crossbar to save his team from going 3-0 in arrears.
Then with 20 minutes remaining, SOUL recaptured their momentum when they won a free kick on the edge of the penalty box, from which Ashaan Siddick scored a top-quality goal, bending the ball around the defensive wall, out of the reach of Shrimpers keeper, Will Healy.
It had proved to be a good watch for supporters and now there was a nail-biting finish. With 5 minutes remaining, the 4th good goal of the match was scored when Jadon Yamoak, from inside the 18-yard box, fired in a thunderbolt for SOUL's equaliser to earn his team a point.
