REPORT BY DANIEL ROGERS & TERRY FRANCIS
Harwich took the lead in the 5th minute when Danny Garrad's low cross was cleared to Liam White who finished with an excellent curling 20-yard shot.
Framlingham came back, forcing Shrimpers keeper Brad Cook to save a 25-yard shot.
Harwich were celebrating their second goal in the 12th minute and it came from a well-worked move with White skilfully taking the ball down before laying it through for Alfie Canning to slot home from close range.
Idreess Namisi made a driving run and then crossed to Garrad whose shot forced Town's keeper Joe Berry to pull off a fine save.
Just before half time Canning displayed lovely skill to beat his marker before shooting just wide.
In tricky conditions due to the swirling wind, it had been a good half for Harwich and they went at the break enjoying a 2-0 lead.
Only 3 minutes of the second half had elapsed when Namisi's neat control allowed him to find Luke Mayhew out in a wide position and his cross-shot was poked into the net by Garrad for Harwich's third goal.

Harwich were still playing well with 56 minutes gone when Namisi sent Garrad away and from an angle he tried a chip shot that went into the side netting.
Both sides made changes and with Framlingham able to bring on experienced players and keeping the ball on the ground, they began to test the Harwich defence.
With 75 minutes on the clock, a late tackle saw Harwich concede a penalty kick and although Cook got a hand to the ball Town's star man, substitute Josh Lucraft, saw his shot find the corner of the net.
Four minutes later, Framlingham were back in contention when Lucraft cleverly used the windy conditions to curl his corner kick in at the near post for Town's second goal.
With a minute remaining, the ball ran loose just outside the Harwich goal and Cook did well to block Max Willett's close-range effort and earn the Shrimpers all three points.
The two teams will meet again, at Framlingham, on September 10 in the Thurlow Nunn League Cup. Judged on this contest, it should be a cracking tie.
