Holbeach made a long midweek journey from Lincolnshire to fulfil this fixture and traffic congestion caused the kick off to be delayed for 15 minutes.
Harwich attacked from the kick off, penning Holbeach in their goal area for the opening 20 minutes. During this time full back Dan Keeble chipped his shot just over the crossbar, Matt Geen went close with a 25 yard shot and Joe Knight header just over. Jordan Keeble had a scoring chance for Holbeach but his header was too high. A goal less first half ended with Harwich unable to turn their superiority into goals.
Holbeach came more into the game after the break but Shrimpers goal keeper Brad Cook was still having a quiet evening.
Then in the 70th minute Holbeach scored a wonder goal to take the lead when John Yamasu's first time shot from a wide position outside the penalty area went high over the head of Brad Cook and into the far corner of the net.
Jubilant Tigers now had their tails up and Harwich faced a battle to rescue the game.
The Shrimpers equaliser came 15 minutes later when Joe Knight played the ball in to substitute Jordan Heath who in his first appearance of the season, netted his 100th goal for the Club, riffling home a shot on the turn.
There was a good finish to the game with both teams looking to snatch a winner but at the final whistle a draw was a fair result.
Harwich now play their last game on Saturday against Swaffham Town knowing that they need to better Framlingham Town's result at Downham to achieve 3rd place in the league and a home tie in the first play off match.
