In a first half of few goalscoring chances, Harwich just about had the edge and Brantham did well to clear the Shrimpers' most dangerous attack when the ball was bobbing about underneath their crossbar.
After the break, play was evenly contested and although goalmouth action was still scarce, the match was very competitive, making it a good watch for supporters.
After having a quiet first half, Shrimpers goalkeeper Sam Felgate (pictured) dealt capably with Brantham producing more shots on goal and his defenders Tyler Sullivan and Jeremiah Ajisafe where also impressive.
For the penalty shoot-out, Oakley McNair went in goal and dived to save Athletic's first spot kick. Liam White, Joe Wood and a trialist were successful for Harwich but Brantham's keeper then saved well and the scores were levelled at 3-3. After Brantham had taken the lead, Jenson Goode netted to take the competition to sudden death.

Brantham converted their next kick and with Harwich missing theirs, the trophy went to the Blue Imps.
The cup was presented to the Brantham captain the daughter of former club president Norman Mann, with the match having raised £200 for the designated charity, the Salvation Army.
Shrimpers manager Matt Carmichael was pleased with a good, competitive work-out, between two Step 5 level teams, in which he was without his two established central defenders and also two key attacking players.
