Harwich started well with a smart move when Shaun Avis (pictured) passed to Louie Bloom who found Alfie Canning and his shot went inches over the crossbar.
Play was end to end in the first half and with 25minutes gone, the Shrimpers created two more chances, firstly when Zachary Pedro crossed from the left flank, Alfie Eldridge was within a whisker of connecting for what would have seen him side-footing the ball home. Then Canning crossed for Avis to head just over the crossbar.
Woodford are currently 4th in the Essex Senior League table and showed their quality in the 35th minute when Yemi Adelani gave them the lead with a clinical finish.
The second half started with Harwich doing well to defend a series of dangerous Town corner kicks.
Harwich equalised in the 55th minute when Canning featured again, creating the opportunity for Pedro to finish the move with a perfectly placed low shot into the corner of the net which left goalkeeper Pharell Chinyere standing.

With the scores level, Shrimpers goalkeeper Brad Cook made an outstanding save, blocking a shot from close range.
Ten minutes remained when Harwich scored the winning goal with a super strike from Avis, who had worked his socks off leading the Shrimpers' attack.
There was then a hectic finish to the game and in the very last second, Cook pulled off another fine stop when, from under the crossbar, he punched a cross to the safety of the far touchline.
Celebrations followed for the Harwich players and their supporters as they enjoyed a morale-boosting triumph, which puts them into the fourth round for the second season running. Friday's draw is now eagerly awaited.
