THE SHRIMPERS ENTERTAINED THEIR SUPPORTERS WITH AN IMPRESSIVE ATTACKING PERFORMANCE TO GAIN VICTORY.

Before the kick off the teams lined up and a minute's silence was observed in memory of two loyal supporters, Gary Rosier and Wayne Ramplin. Both will be sadly missed at the Oak and by everyone at Harwich & Parkeston Football Club.
With the pitch and surrounds looking a picture in the autumn sunshine, a crowd of 191 was in attendance at the Gwinnell & Sons Royal Oak.
Harwich made a great start, taking the lead in the 5th minute when Matt Geen split the visitors defence and Jamie Eades unselfishly laid the ball off for Joe Knight to rocket his shot into the roof of the net. Midway through the half Harwich increased their lead when Joe Knight set up Luke Mayhew who netted with a cool finish.
Harwich continued to control the game in the second half and Gareth Heath saw his free kick go inches wide the post. The Shrimpers third goal came in the 59th minute and was well worked with Gareth Heath's long throw- in to the near post being nodded on by Jamie Eades to the far post where the hard-working Joe Knight powered his header into the net. Harwich were playing some excellent football and Luke Mayhew made a silky run through the visitor's defence which culminated in his shot shaving the upright. In the very last minute, inspired by their play making, experienced skipper Danny Thrower, striker Ballard netted a consolation goal for Debenham.
Harwich team: Brad Cook, Shaun Kioussis, Ben Hammond, Jack Wood, Reece Harte, Matt Geen, Alfie Smith, Gareth Heath, Luke Mayhew, Jamie Eades and Joe Knight. Substitutes: Brandon Rusby, Rob Pratt and Harry Tuck.

Supporters, please note that our next home game scheduled for 5th November, versus Needham Market Under 23's has been postponed because Needham Market's First Team will be playing in the First Round Proper of the FA Cup, thus allowing the Under 23's to attend this special occasion.
