HARWICH WIN THROUGH TO THE SECOND ROUND OF THE THURLOW NUNN LEAGUE CHALLENGE CUP

Harwich had a re-arranged line-up for this Tuesday evening match, including a young wing back pairing of Harry Tuck and Archie Corner with both going on to enjoy excellent 90 minute outings. The Shrimpers took an early lead in the 14th minute when Matt Geen's through ball found Jamie Eades who volleyed home low and hard from an acute angle. Harwich continued to play well to maintain their advantage at the half time interval.
Early in the second period Harwich struck again with a super second goal, Matt Geen from wide on the right hand flank burying his shot into the far corner of the net. Holland tried hard and hit the crossbar but Harwich had done enough in each half to earn victory and keep another clean sheet.
