DISAPPOINTMENT FOR HARWICH AS THEY LOSE TO HOLLAND IN LOCAL DERBY

Harwich conceded a penalty in the 15th minute and Holland took the lead from the spot kick. A second goal before half time meant that the Shrimpers were on the back foot needing to turn things around after the break. Harwich normally have a strong defence whose goals against record is low and belies their league position. However with their no frills, direct football Holland found gaps in the Shrimpers rearguard which advancing goalkeeper Brad Cook was unable to plug. Add to this Holland were more powerful on the ball and in trying to match them Harwich were drawn into a battle which they could not win. When Holland scored their third goal there was no way back for Harwich and the visitors iced their cake with goal number four.
