AGAINST STEP 5 OPPONENTS, THE SHRIMPERS FOUND WHITE ENSIGN'S SUPERIOR FIRE POWER DECISIVE.

Harwich did well in a first half in which there was little to choose between the teams. In the 30th minute Shrimpers skipper Gareth Heath had a good chance to give his team the lead but the visitors goalkeeper made a good stop with his feet. Five minutes later White Ensign took the lead when a good move was finished by Connor Barnby. The Shrimpers continued to hold their own in the second have and had scoring opportunities on a couple of occasions in the visitors penalty area but the White Ensign defence made good blocks. Then in the 70th minute Zack Littlejohn increased White Ensign lead with a cracking shot from inside the penalty area. Harwich tried to comeback with full back Reece Harte's shot forcing a fine diving save from the White Ensign goalkeeper at the expense of a corner. In the closing stages Barnby scored his second goal with another fierce drive that again gave Shrimpers keeper Brad Cook no chance.
