HARWICH & PARKESTON COMPLETE THEIR PRE SEASON FIXTURES WITH 1-1 DRAW WITH LEISTON RESERVES

Leiston started brightly when they hit the post but were thwarted from the rebound when goalkeeper Bradley Cook pulled off a smart save. A good Harwich move saw Declan Kama neatly head the ball into the Leiston net but he was ruled offside. Joe Knight gave Harwich the lead with header during the first half but the lively young Leiston team impressed and deservedly equalised with a second half penalty. Harwich lost influential midfielder Connor MacLaughlin with a head injury when he made an important challenge and will hope that he recovers in time for Saturdays match.
