Fielding a very strong line-up, in the first 20 minutes Harwich were sharp showing the sort of form that they need to hit when the League programme commences. Jordan Heath headed home an accurate cross to give them the lead . Further goals from Sean Hobbins, Joe Knight and Declan Kama ensured that the Shrimpers had a commanding 4-0 lead at the break.
The goal rush subdued in the second half as Dedham gave a good account of themselves but Clarence Emeh added the Shrimpers fifth goal.
Our thanks to Dedham for the fixture and our best wishes to them for the coming campaign in the Border League Premier Division.
Our Reserves were elsewhere in a training session and there has been good news for them following the Border League constitution meeting. Having topped the Division Two table at last season's abandonment, they have been promoted to Division One for 2021/22.
