Harwich included several trialists in their line up whilst Leiston fielded a youthful team. The first half was goaless and so it remained well into the second half until one of the trialists gave Harwich the lead with a well taken goal. In the closing stages Leiston equalised and on balance draw was a fair result.
So a busy post lockdown period is almost over but the Shrimpers Reserves have a 3rd Round Tommy Thompson Cup tie to play when they will meet the winners of Harwich Rangers versus Clacton A.
A lot of work off the field has been undertaken with the new patio are adjacent to the Social Club completed with seating for over 90. A big thank is deserved to the volunteers for their work on the excellent new facility.
July's pre season will include a highlight Kevin Beattie Foundation fixture versus F C Claction. Full details to follow.
Delighted to see former Shrimper Jack Cawley feature in the Concord Rangers team in the F A Vase final at Wembley. Jack was highly popular in his spell at Harwich.
