For this Tuesday night match it was a very different team from the one which had been victorous in the FA Cup at Ilford on Saturday. Sam Felgate, Joe Knight, Nicky Palmer and Jordan Heath were all rested but the players who came in took their chance admirably with the team playing some of their best football of the season so far. Harwich rattled the Coggehall crossbar early on with Sam Cripps and Aide Cant on song against their old club. Harwich took the lead in the 30th minute with an excellent passing move ending with Aide Cant firing an untoppable shot into the roof of the net. The Shrimpers defence was sound with Michael Murray marshalling his troops and goalkeeper Brad Cook dealing well with the Coggeshall attack. Harwich lead 1-0 at half time but after the break Coggeshall equalised with a soft penalty. Harwich regained the lead in the 70th minute with 17 year old Miles Wallace, making his debut in the first team, striking a magical 25 yard volley into the corner of the net for a deserved goal. Five minute latter Sam Cripps opened his account for the club with another excellent shot into the corner of the net to make it 3-1 in the Shrimpers favour. With a few minutes left Brad Cook conceeded a penalty but made a fine save from the spot kick, only for the ball to fall kindly for a forward who slotted in Coggeshall's second goal
