The Shrimpers finished in 5th place in the league table, just missing out on 4th place on goal difference

Unavailability meant that Harwich had to make some changes but they still provided great entertainment in a goal feast with Burnaham Ramblers. There was an early shock for Harwich and their supporters when with the game only a couple of minutes old, Robert Bagnaell gave
Ramblers the lead. Harwich were back on terms 10 minutes later when 16 year old Ross Purll, making his first start, nipped in between defender and keeper to net. The Shrimpers missed a chance when Ryan Heath's penalty kick was saved by keeper Martin Souter but were soon in the lead with Jamie Beecham fine finish from 18 yards. It was another good strike from 20 yards by Brad Westley that increased the Harwich lead to 3-1. The scoring spree continued with Karl Swanborough pulling a goal back for Ramblers to reduce the Shrimpers advantage tp 3-2 at half time. After the break Harwich regained their two goal advantage when Shaun Mathurin crossed and a defender, under pressure from the well postioned Purll, put the ball into his own net. A well placed free kick from Swanborough brought a thrid goal for Burnham. Harwich had only a slender lead now and their Reserve Team goalkeeper Kane Eles made a super double save from Brad Morgan's penalty kick and follow up. At the finish Harwich players went to their supporters to celebrate a season in which they had made a most enjoyable return to senior football and they were joined by their Management team of Kieron Shelley and Michael Wallace who have done so much to bring back the passion for the famous old Club.
