Harwich had lost 2-1 at home to Wormley in September and so they knew that they faced a challenge on a pitch that had been made boggy by the recent bad weather. The all important goal was scored by Callum Griffiths during the first half and was well taken. The Shrimpers striker was in fine form also having a shot tipped over by the home keeper and netting with a superb effort that was ruled out by a tight offiside decision. With a slender one goal lead at half time Harwich sought to make the game safe and could well have done so with Tonye Joseph going close when he lobbed the goalkeeper. The Shrimpers also thought they had scored a second goal when subsitute Tyler Rose got round the back of the Wormley defence but again the Assistant Referee flagged for offside. Wormley had worked hard for each other and in the closing stages pressed strongly for an equaliser. However the Harwich defence has been excellent in their rise up the table and again stood firm. Stalwart central defender Joe Knight was completing his suspension but Nicky Palmer stepped into the breach to have an excellent game using his experience to read the game and calmly snuff out any danger.
