In front of an enthusiastic crowd of 217, the game was evenly contested from the kick off with the teams trying to get the midfield ascendency. Chances were hard to come by and although Reece Tranter and Bsmir Hoxhaj looked dangerous attackers for the visitors, the Harwich defence was impressive and allowed them no clear sight of goal. Harwich acheived the vital breakthrough just before half time with live wire Tyler Rose outpacing the defence before powering in a well taken shot into the net. In the second half Harwich goalkeeper Sam Felgate ran to the far edge of his penalty area to cut out a dangerous situation where had he missed his team would have been in big trouble. The match remained very close to call with a tense finish looming. James Zangetti shot inches past the post for May & Baker whilst Jordan Heath saw his first shot blocked and was then just off target with a clever angled shot towards the top corner of the goal. The Harwich defence blocked out May & Baker's final attempts to rescue a point with the teams receiving the applause of the crowd for an absorbing encounter.
At the close it was good to see the Harwich Players and Managers run over to celebrate with their Supporters.
