The Shrimpers devasted White Ensign with a top class show that gave them a 3-0 lead at the interval.

Harwich took the lead after only 2 minutes when they repelled White Ensign's opening attack and full back Harry Johnston cleared the ball to the half way line where Jordan Heath raced forward to round goalkeeper Tim Pitman who had come well out of his goal area. It appeared that Jordan had been forced too wide but cool as a cucumber, he slipped the ball past the home defenders, who were despeartely funneling back, and into the net - surely one of the best goals of the season!. Harwich were buoyed up by this and then in the 25th minute Jordan Heath was fouled and his twin brother Ryan neatly tucked the resultant penalty kick into the corner of the net for the Shrimpers second goal. Four minutes later White Ensign again found Jordan Heath's skill too much and conceeded another penalty which this time he took himself and with a perfectly executed kick put Harwich 3-0 in the lead. Harwich had performed magnificently as a team and in the 40th minute White Ensign fell deeper into trouble when Dom Locke was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.
After the break White Ensign tried hard to get back into the game, with their best weapon being long thrown in's into the penalty area but the Harwich defence dealt competently with this tactic. The Shrimpers returned to the attack and an excellent move started by a penetrating run from Brad Westley saw Tyler Rose cross flash accross the goal with jordan Heath inches away from connecting. A dangerous White Ensign attack saw John Helyard's shot well saved by keeper Sam Felgate. In the closing minutes the icing of the cake came for Harwich when Rose's cross was hammered into the net by Callum Griffiths for the Shrimpers fourth goal.
