Harwich complete Friendlies with a good victory

Step 6 opponents Lieston Reserves from a pararell league were a guide as to the Shrimpers progress. Lieston started well and took the lead in the 12th minute when Matt Rutherford netted with a shot low into the corner of the net. Harwich equalised in the 37th minute with a neat goal, Jordan Heath lobbing the keeper from the edge of the penalty box. Harwich got on top in the second half and the visitors keeper excelled but could not prevent Luke Barnard scoring twice, first beating the offside trap before slotting home and then shooting accurately. In establishing this 3=1 lead, Harwich played well and added a fourth goal when Michael Palmer unselfishly laid the ball off for Jordan Heath to tap in.
