Harwich made a lack lustre start and West Bergholt made the home defence look shaky. Dave Wier gave the visitors the lead following neat build up and West Bergholt fully deserved their lead at the interval. The Shrimpers improved in the second half but it was still not enough and Jake Bethell increased West Bergholt's advantage with a cracking drive for their second goal. It was disappointing for Harwich but Michael Hammond burst through to reduce the arrears with 15 minutes to go and the Shrimpers were transformed. They now raised their game finding
each other with slick passes and looked likely to salvage a draw. Although they came close West Bergholt stoutley held out until the final whislte.,
