Welcome victory for Harwich as they return to good form

Harwich started well and came close in the 28th minute when Sam Thompson's shot struck the post and rebounded into the arms of the vistors keeper who was stationed at the opposite post. Shrimpers keeper Sam Wood made smart saves from Lawrence Hale and Matt Knight. In the 34th minute Brad Westley created the chance from which Luke Barnard slotted Harwich into the lead and when half time arrived they had deserved their advantage.
In the 55th minute Barnard increased the Shrimpers lead when his flick caught the keeper and his defenders out and rolled slowly over the goal line. Harwich continued to be the better team and played some neat passing football. Harwich lost influential skipper central defender Ollie Lamb to an inury but brought on the ever reliable Jake Neale in his place. Another Shrimpers substitute James North came on to score the third goal in the closing minutes.
