Harwich young keeper Tom Wood was injured last week but his replacement 16 year old Brad Cook had a stand out match as the Shrimpers were made to work hard for the points. Lewis King gave Harwich the lead in the 35th minute when after Sam Thompson had been thwarted, he pounced with a smart finish. Harwich increased their lead in the 70th minute when the Barnston keeper was unable to hold a high ball and in the frantic goalmouth scramble that followed, Ollie Lamb forced the ball home. Cook had handled the ball impressively throughout and when Barnston attacked strongly in the closing 10 minutes he pulled off two first class saves to keep a clean sheet.
