Leading 3-1 in the second half, Harwich lost the initiative and the chance to maintain 4th league position, dropping to 7th and being leap frogged by their visitors.

White Notley took the lead in the 12th minute when Matthew Knowles found a gap in the home defence and beat keeper Tom Wood. Brad Westley was clean through for Harwich but goalkeeper Tony Burton saved well. Harwich equalised in the 35th minute Patter sliced Sam Thompson's cross into his own net. Burton distinguished himself with a point blank save from Matt Geen's header The Shrimpers took the lead in the 48th minute when Geen beat Burton with a perfectly judged lob. Five minutes later Harwich were in the driving seat when Thompson made it 3-1 for them with a neat finish into the corner of the net. Midway through the half White Notley were back in contention when Knowles dribbled through to net their 2nd goal. White Notley had their tails up now whilst Harwich were faltering and a powerful header by Scott Lodge levelled the scores. Shrimpers young keeper Wood had been given a rough ride by the burly visitors and when he was unable to hold the ball Kane Dobroski gave him no second chance finding the corner of the net with his shot.
