Harwich faced a strong Little Oakley Reserve line up in front of a crowd in excess of 100. The strong wind was a winner in a drap first half with little goalmouth incident.
After the break the second half livened up with both teams keeping the ball on the ground and finding their men much better. The Acorns took the lead in the 57th minute when Jamie Eades broke through and netted with a well placed finish. Harwich now found their form and in the 65th minute new signing from Weeley, Lewis King, headed their equaliser. The Shrimpers were making more chances in this half and good work by Matt Geen resulted in Sam Thompson putting them ahead 3 minutes later. Harwich were looking the better side but in the closing 10 minutes Little Oakley came back strongly and Shrimpers young goalkeeper Tom Wood distinguished himself with some excellent saves. With the final whistle approaching Geen did well to consistently hold the ball up in the Acorns half and see out time
