Harwich were forced to play central defender Ollie Lamb in goal with Tom Wood unavailable.
The teams found the strong wind and uneven bounce difficult and play was disjointed during the first half. Matt Geen and Reece Tonwnrow were off target with chances for Harwich whilst Ben Fowler had two efforts for Wormingford. In the 30th minute there was a close call for Harwich when Wanderers Martin Curtis lobbed the ball over Lamb but the Assistant Referee ruled offside.
By far the best move of the match came in the 52 minute with an interchange of passes between Brad Westley and Geen with a neat finish by Lewis King giving Harwich the lead. Harwich looked for a second goal to clinch victory but it did not come and so the had to face a finish when Lamb made a couple of smart interceptions to avoid extra time.
Martin Curtis chipped the ball ove r Lamb but the Assistant Referee ruled offside.
