Outplayed during the first half, Harwich recovered to make impressive Coggeshall fight for the points.

The game was evenly contested for the first 14 minutes but then Dan McCulloch converted a cross to give Coggeshall the lead. Coggeshall then upped their game several notches and were too quick and determined for Harwich. The Shrimpers first effort on goal came in the 34th minute when Jake Richardson's powerful drive went inches. It was no surprise when 3 minutes later Coggeshall increased their lead with the classy Edelsen Cruz netted with a shot on the turn. Harwich keeper Sam Quinn touched a piledriver shot onto the crossbar and Harwich hung on grimly, managing to keep the 2-0 scoreline at half time.
In the 65th minute Quinn made a great point blank save from McCulloch and the Shrimpers keeper together with some stout defenders had been responsible for keeping Harwich in the game. Inspired by this Harwich began a spirited fight back and Jake Neale was at the far post to head home Brad Smith's corner kick and make it 2-1. Harwich now had hopes of snatching a point and Coggeshall knew they were in a game. However as Harwich pushed forward Coggeshall eventually took advantage with Marley Okosi scoring their 3rd goal. Harwich gritty challenge was over and in injury time Cruz scored his second.
In their present form Coggeshall look Championship material.
