Harwich were edged out when a 65th minute sending off left them with a tough task.. The Shrimpers made a great start with two well taken goals from SamThompson and Matt Geen and the match was still only 7 minutes old when Elden Craig reduced the arrears for Gas Rec from the penalty spot. Neville Barratt made it 3-1 for Harwich with a glancing header but goals from Aston Parkin and Josh Dillon levelled the scores at half time. The second half was low key by comparison. Dillon gave Gas Rec the lead in the 60th minute and then came the sending off with a second yellow card for Curtis Edwards. Tomorrow (Saturday) Harwich visit Coggeshall Reserves.
