Harwich took the lead in the 10th minute when Brad Westley worked the ball through to Matt Geen and he scored with a shot into the corner of the net. White Notley were level 7 minutes later when the Harwich defence was caught and goalkeeper Jordan Giddings was beaten in a race for the ball leaving Kane Dubrovski with an unguarded net to fire into.
Five minutes into the second half Charlie Cook put new signing Luke Barnard through and he slotted his shot home to put Harwich back into the lead. On the hour Barnard netted his second goal, placing his shot deftly into the far corner of the net. Westley had an fine game for Harwich foraging forward from defence and all round the Shrimpers played some good football. Barnard completed his hat trick with another good finish to cap an impressive debut.
