Harwich took the lead in the 13th minute with an overhead kick from Matt Geen. Wanderers keeper Nathan King kept the Shrimpers at bay with some fine saves unitl the 35th minute when Michael Murray headed home from what was their 9th corner. On the stroke of half time Geen volleyed the 3rd goal. With Murray called away, Michael Hammond started the second half and within 3 minutes scored Harwich 4th goal. Wanderers then had their one and only chance when Dean Forbes ran from his own half only to be twarted by the advancing Harwich keeper Jordan Giddings. On 70 minutes Hammond made it 5-0 and twelve minutes later new signing Ashley Stein scored the sixth Harwich goal. Hammond completed his hat trick whilst in the 90th minute Michael Palmer netted goal number eight.
