Harwich off the mark with first victory of the season

Ashley Wood gave Harwich the lead midway through the first half when he surprised the visiting keeper with a long range shot. Charlie Gibbs increased the the Shrimpers lead from close range before half time. Cinque Port missed a gilt edged opportunity to reduce the lead but thereafter Harwich also created numerous good chances. Port's substitute keeper Ben Lloyd made some good saves but Matt Geen made no mistake and notched Harwich third goal after good work by Sam Thompson. Thompson then completed the scoring from the penalty spot.
