Point gained or opportunity lost for Harwich?

Harwich made great start when Darren Behtell ran through to score a smart goal in only the first minute. However the Shrimpers were without their first choice strikers Matt Geen and Ben Elliott and lacked a goal threat thereafter. With Harwich failing to find their best form, Lawford equalised and could well have snatched victory.
Harwich suffered a blow with 30 minutes to go when Michael Hammond was taken off with a suspected broken leg. Thankfully a hospital visit diagnosed ligament damage, the extent to be confirmed at a further visit. Everyone will wish Michael the speedist possible recovery and the team will miss his important contribution.
