The Shrimpers gave a good performance in the last match of the current campaign.

Harwich were able to field a strong line-up and with regular goalkeeper Sam Felgate unavailable called on the ever reliable Richard Traynor of fill the breach. The Shrimpers had the edge during the first half and took the lead in the 20th minute with a fine move, Robbie Marks passing to Craig Martin who sold a dummy to the defenders to allow Martin Calver to score with a clinical finish
Harwich started the second half well and deservedly increased their lead in the 70th minute with another smart attack Luis Reynolds and Ashley Wood combining for the latter to net. Seven minutes later Martin ran onto Traynor's long kick and lifted the ball over the keeper. Arlesford then scored a cracking goal to reduce the arrears with Shane Bayliss 25 yard rocket giving Traynor no chance. In the 80th minute Harwich had the last say with the energetic Martin robbing a defender and calmly shooting goal number four.
This takes the Shrimpers to 4th place in the table and they must await others to complete their fixtures to see if this is their final position - quite an acheivement for Managers John Fidgett and Mark Sharpe in view of their pre seaon problems.
