Facing a strong wind, Harwich trailed 1 -3 at half time but put on a super second half performance.

Harwich were up against it from the start and in the early stages had difficulty getting out of their own half with Arlesford taking full advantage of the strong wind.. The Shrimpers first chance came in the 18th minute when Robbie Marks robbed goalkeeper James Barker and lobbed the ball inches wide of the unguarded goal. Arlesford took the lead in the 25th minute when Jake Brown won a chase and scored from an acute angle. Within a minute Rangers scored again when Wayne Spere surprised Harwich with a shot from distance. Harwich thought that they were back in contention in the 43rd minute with Darren Bethell seizing a chance to score from 20 yards with a clinical finish. Again less than a minute passed when Carl Joiner saw keeper Sam Felgate off his line to regain Arlesford's two goal advantage.
With the wind at their backs in the second half Harwich had to go up a gear to claw back the defecit. The Shrimpers pushed forward and Bethell was at his best being rewarded with another quality finish reducing the arrears in the 65th minute. Harwich were buzzing now and Robbie May sent over a pin point corner for Mark's glancing header to equalise. Bethell almost completed a hat trick but Barker denied him by tipping the ball out for a corner. In a thrilling conclusion, Ashley Wood and Luis Reynolds comibined neatly for promising teenager Luke Shepherd to score a close range winner for Harwich with only 3 minutes remaining.
