The Shrimpers thoughts are on promotion as their confidence continues to grow.

Matt Stace was missing from the Shrimpers line up, having suffered a broken wrist in the gym, but Martin Calaver made a return to the Club to fill the vacancy. Harwich were soon attacking but missed a couple of chances before Luis Reynolds gave them the lead in the 23rd minute following good work by Ashley Wood. Darren Cook should have increased the lead before halftime when he did all the hard work, rounding the keeper but then missed the target. Former Harwich goalkeeper Scott Wass was to save Holland on numerous occasions and after the break he made a great save to tip Calver's shot over the bar. In the 70th minute substitue Craig Martin pounced on a mistake to increase Harwich lead. Reynolds was in fine form for Harwich with powerful runs forward and he netted the Shrimpers third goal. Robbie Marks scored goal number four following another good sortie by Reynolds. The fifth Harwich goal was a classy finish by Calver into the corner of the net.
On a very heavy pitch, it was an excellent all round display from Harwich which will have delighted joint Managers John Fidgett and Mark Sharpe who enjoyed the bonus of having three top subs to bring on in Craig Martin, Ben Hammond and Richard Traynor
