The result of this match was in doubt until the final whistle when a draw was a fair result.

Elmden had the first chance in the 5th minute when Jake Neale's back pass fell short and goalkeeper Sam Felgate did well to come out and block when James Pickard looked odds on to score. Although some of their approach work was good, Harwich lacked penetration when they neared the penalty area. Pickard made the wrong choice when he broke through and tried to pass instead of shoot. Harwich took the lead in the 30th minute when James Roots crossed accurately for Craig Martin to head home at the far post. The lead was short lived when 4 minutes later Felgate could not hold Pickard's close range shot and Lemin Ali followed up to equalise. Robbie Marks had a couple of good attempts for Harwich as they tried to regain the advantage. Ben Hammond was forced to stretch to make a tackle and the Referee awarded Rovers a penalty kick. Sam Felgate was Harwich saviour again when he dived to save Ali's spot kick.
After the break the match continued to be fiercely contested. Martin headed just over for Harwich with both teams pressing for a winner. It was a nervy finish when a mistake could have been fatal at either end but at the final whistle honours were even.
