This was a hard fought draw and with the Shrimpers finding it tough in recent weeks, it was a useful point for them to pick up.

Once again there was good support for Harwich at their Royal Oak home. Play was fairly even in the first half with Shrimpers keeper Sam Felgate having to be alert to push out a dangerous high ball. Harwich then attacked with Craig Martin sending a rasping shot on the run, taken from the edge of the penalty area, just over the crossbar. Coggeshall goalkeeper Sam Hodgson did well to save Luis Reynold's free kick and later another effort from Martin. After the interval Harwich came close when Robbie Marks close range shot in a crowded goalmouth struck the post. The Shrimpers got on top in this half with Martin shooting wide after a good run and then Ben Hammond going close following Reynold's corner kick. Harwich could not find the net despite their pressure and with time running out there was a danger that Coggeshall would break away and snatch victory. It almost happened when Troy Hawthorn's shot thuded against the Harwich crossbar. In the end it was honours even and an improvement for Harwich on last week's result.
