Jake Neale returned to the Harwich line up and formed a solid partnership in the centre of the defence with Richard Traynor. The Shrimpers took a little time to settle and efforts from the visitors Tom Earle and Rob Fitzpatrick tested goalkeeper Sam Felgate. A free kick from Marc Brown also brought a good save from Felgate at the expense of a corner. Harwich got into their stride and in the 27th minute Adam Rogers set up Shaun Wildney whose effort was blocked. Unfortunately Wildney, in his first start for Harwich, collided with the goal post and was later taken to hospital with a suspected dislocated shoulder. Craig Martin came on for Harwich and with his pace was lively for the Shrimpers. Defences were on top but in the second half both teams came close to scoring. Wormingford and Colne Engaine almost conceeded an own goal whilst in the last minute Traynor cleared off the line for Harwich. The visitors proved a well organised team whereas Harwich will be pleased with their better showing and a draw was a fair result.
