Fine second half display ensures Harwich 5th consecutive victory

University failed to take advantage of some good scoring opportunities during the first half when they passed the ball much better than Harwich. Charlie Goodlake did give University the lead in the 55th minute when Harwich failed to clear their lines but this was a signal for the Shrimpers to get into gear. Five minutes later Robbie Marks did well to cross and Michael Maclachlan equalised with a well struck shot. Harwich were in front in the 75th minute when Mark Palmer curled his 25 yard shot from the wing into the far corner of the net. Harwich were on top and when University did attack, they found that the Shrimpers defence had tightened up to allow no more clear cut chances. In the 87th minute Jamie Beecham created the opening for Darren Bethell to score Harwich third goal and make sure of another 3 points.
