Disappointment for Harwich as they lose by the only goal in local derby

The strong wind made conditions difficult at the Memorial Ground but Little Oakley adapted much better than the Shrimpers and fully deserved their victory. Harwich brought in new signing, striker Jimmy Chatters but he had few chances to shine. Little Oakley took the lead in the first half with a bullet header from Lewis Wood. The Shrimpers could have snatched a draw in the second half but Trevor Lewis, the most dangerous attacker on view, was unlucky not to score for Little Oakley when his shot struck the post.
