Harwich gain narrow victory

Harwich were the best team during the first half and had chances to go in with a lead at the interval The Shrimpers were without their danger man, Jimmy Chatters, in attack but took the lead early in the second half when Steve Oldhampstead scored from close range. The Shrimpers continued to play well but then in the last 20 minutes lost their rhythm. Rangers then pushed the Shrimpers back on defence but on the balance of play Harwich deserved their victory.
