Gt Bradfords 4 - 2 Harwich & Parkeston Blues Under 13's

Missing 6 players can be no excuse for an uncharacteristically lethargic team performance against promotion rivals Gt Bradfords. The open 15 minutes saw little incident other than a few long range drives from the imposing Bradford's central midfielder but it was Harwich who broke the deadlock after 20 minutes as Jerome raced onto a pinpoint Jenson through ball to fire into the roof of the net. Bradford's reacted with their wide players causing problems as Josh pulled off a great save but it was little surprise when they equalised shortly after. Max then had a goal disallowed for a handball offence and Bradfords likewise for off-side as the half finished even.

Half Time
Gt Bradfords 1 - Harwich 1

Both sides new the next goal was vital and after Harwich gave away possession cheaply it was Bradfords who seized the initiative after 10 minutes to lead for the first time in the match. At this point Harwich seemed to lack the desire to get back in the game as Bradfords midfield took control and having scored 33 goals in their last 2 league games it was inevitable that Bradfords would extend their lead further to make the score 4-1. Jenson reduced the arrears with a tidy finish but it was too little too late. Josh was awarded man of the match pulling off some fine saves.

Final Score
Gt Bradfords 4 - Harwich 2

The boys have exceeded all expectations this season but will want to stay in contention with the leaders and can expect a further stern test against Halstead next week as we enter the second half of the season. The coaching staff will be looking for a positive reaction and a significantly improved performance.
