Injury ravaged Harwich were fully stretched having lost Sam and Keeper George to injury in the lead up to the game and had an early scare after conceding a first minute penalty on yet another windy Sunday morning. However, the Rowhedge taker shot high over the bar and from then on Harwich took the initiative with 6 first half goals without reply with Jenson scoring a hat-trick and goals for Jim, Ryan and an edge of the box thunderbolt from Will H.
Half Time
Harwich 6 - 0 Rowhedge
The second half followed in a similar fashion as Harwich used the wind to good effect with a second half hat-trick from Jenson and further goals from Will and Jerome who ran his socks off all game. Stand in keeper Josh dealt well with the odd Rowhedge threat but having suffered a further injury as Ryan was withdrawn with a head injury and during a defensive reshuffle Rowhedge scored a late consolation goal.
Final Score
Harwich 11 - 1 Rowhedge
A great attacking display today after last week's defensive heroics and full credit to the boys who continued their good run of results. Excellent individual performances across the park today but man of the match was awarded to Jenson who was at his unplayable best today. Well done Jense !
With a likely difficult fixture list to come in the run up to Christmas it is hoped that the injury situation improves soon so that the boys can give themselves the best possible chance of maintaining their current league position.
