Emphatic Victory For The Reds

The game could not have started better for H and P as they scored straight from the ko, as a superbly weighted ball from Thomas was calmly tucked away by TJ into the bottom corner. The lead was extended shortly after, Thomas finishing a great move with an easy tap in at the back post. Two more goals followed 8 put H and P into a commanding 4-0 lead. Minor lapse in concentration for Harwich just before the break allowed Wivenhoe to reduce the deficit. Half time score 4-1.

H and P started the half very poorly and allowed Wivenhoe to control the game, giving away possession at every opportunity. Wivenhoe created a number of chances in the opening minutes of the second half and twice hitting the post. A quick break away for H and P though and another goal from TJ settled the nerves and Harwich were back in control again. From then on it was one way traffic as H and P went on to record their best victory to date. Two more goals followed from Thomas to take his tally of the game to 3. Marley chipped in with 2 goals and Neelix scoring from a superbly struck shot just inside the 18yrd box. TJ added 2 more goals to take his tally of the game to 5. Big Jack also got on the score sheet after a decent finish with is unfavoured right foot.

Good performance from H and P, who will feel they could of scored a lot more had their finishing been slightly better. Harwich back line with Brandon just in front were again superb and stayed disciplined despite having a comfortable lead.

Great performance again from Finn and Dylan, but player of the match going to TJ who scored 5, assisted a number of goals and has finally discovered the art of passing.
