Youth football will take over the Gwinnell and Sons Royal Oak this weekend.
On Saturday (May 9), the final of the annual Fisherman’s Cup tournament for primary schools in the area takes place, kick-off 10.30am.
This year’s final, which comes 75 years after the trophy was initially donated by the local fishing community, sees holders Chase Lane take on All Saints – a repeat of last year’s trophy decider.
Then, on Sunday (May 10), the club will again stage a number of the Essex County Girls’ League’s President’s Cup finals, the first of which will kick-off at 10am.
The full fixture list is as follows:
- U14s – Epping Town Lionesses v Harlow Town Kestrels (10am)
- U13s – Byron Red Star Lionesses v Hackney Wick (12 noon)
- U15s - Leigh Ramblers Black v Great Bradfords Diamonds (2pm)
On both days, the tea hut will be open, selling a variety of hot and cold food and drink – cash only, please. Meanwhile, the social club will be open from 12 noon on Sunday.
