Essex Senior Cup tie to be 'beamed back' to HPFC for fans to watch live on the big screen.

Harwich and Parkeston FC is pleased to announce that its forthcoming Essex Senior Cup showdown with Hashtag United is to be screened live in the Social Club.
Supporters who can’t make it to Parkside in Aveley – Hashtag’s home ground – on Tuesday (November 26) will still be able to watch the game live thanks to co-operation between the two clubs.
A live stream will be made available by Hashtag which will be beamed on the big screen in the Social Club at our Royal Oak ground.
The club will open at 7pm ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off. Entry is free (and limited to 100 people) but donations to club funds are welcomed.
The coverage will include match commentary, with HPFC’s own media and content manager Mark Young joining the hosts’ regular matchday team.
The last-16 tie is one of the Shrimpers’ biggest games in recent years. It will be the first time HPFC have contested a match at this stage of the competition in 25 years.
Matt Carmichael’s high-flying side face a tough task of bridging a three-tier gap between the teams – Hashtag play in the Isthmian League Premier Division which is at Step 3 of the non-league pyramid. Harwich play at Step 6.
However, the current players have already proven their ability to compete with teams from that level this season. In the last round, Bowers and Pitsea, who play in the same division as Hashtag, were beaten 2-1 on the Oak.
Bowers currently sit 20th in the Isthmian Premier with Hashtag only one place and one point better off.
Founded in 2016, Hashtag sprang to prominence online, largely thanks to their owner, YouTuber Spencer Owen. They have a long history of filming their matches, often producing highlights packages online, while this is not the first time they have live-streamed a match.
