Legendary Shrimpers John Wallace and Steve Devaux have been made life members of Harwich and Parkeston Football Club.
The duo were awarded special certificates by chairman Tony Armstrong at Saturday’s player reunion.
John and Steve sit second and third on HPFC’s all-time top scorers' list with 208 and 199 goals respectively.
John made 487 appearances across the 1970s, 80s and 90s. He was an Essex Senior Trophy winner in 1990 and was part of the team that reached the first-round proper of the FA Cup in 1976. John was also the club’s top scorer six seasons out of eight during his hey day.

Steve (pictured with Tony) debuted in 1962 and made the last of his 335 appearances in 1977. He is the only player in club history to top-score in four consecutive seasons. He was also manager from 1973 to 1978 during the club’s Isthmian League days, making him one of the club’s longest-serving bosses.
Tony, a former team-mate of both men, said: “There is no-one more deserving of life membership of this club than John and Steve.
“Both served Harwich and Parkeston with great distinction for many, many years and I’m proud to have played alongside them so often.”

John, Steve and Tony were among many former Shrimpers who gathered at the Royal Oak on Saturday as part of the club’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
Others included Murray Osman and Peter Grant, also members of the 1990 Essex Senior Trophy-winning side.
Dick Berriman was also in attendance. The 80-year-old, like Steve Devaux, was part of the last HPFC side to win a league title – Athenian League Division Two in 1964/65.
The club thanks all the ex-players and fans who came along to support the event.
