Huge Bank Holiday weekend ahead!

Charity football, wrestling action and big Essex Senior League game all take place on the Royal Oak this weekend.
A massive Bank Holiday weekend is coming up at Harwich and Parkeston FC!
It will feature former EFL footballers, stars of the wrestling ring and, of course, the current HPFC vintage.
It all kicks off on Friday night (August 28) with the ‘Clash on the Pitch 3’ wrestling event.
As the name suggests, it is the third such show to be staged on the Royal Oak and it has proved extremely popular in the past. This year, local star Arron Warnes will be among those taking part.
Gates open at 7pm with the first bell at 7.30pm. The action is expected to last until around 10pm.
Tickets can be purchased online here, while you can also pay on the gate.
Football returns on Saturday (August 29) with the men’s first team in Essex Senior League action at home to Hackney Wick (kick-off 3pm) as they look to get back to winning ways.
And then on Sunday (August 30), it’s the big annual charity match which this year sees the England Veterans team visit the Oak to take on hosts Tekkers Community FC Veterans.
The England side has represented the nation in a host of tournaments and earlier this year won the Seniors World Cup, which was staged in Thailand.
It is due to feature former Colchester United stars Karl Duguid and Paul Gibbs, plus a number of other former EFL players, including Ricky Cornish, who is well-known to non-league fans having played for the likes of Cornard after finishing his pro career. The former Bristol City and Cambridge United defender is currently on the coaching staff at Newmarket.
For the Tekkers team, current Shrimper Gareth Heath is due to play, while former boss Martin Warnes is also in the squad.
The contest, which will kick-off at 2pm, will raise money for a cause close to the club’s heart.
Local teenager Audrey Tyrrell has been diagnosed with the rare condition, Usher syndrome, which causes sight and hearing loss.
Audrey, 14, has been deaf since birth and will go blind at some point in the future. Due to this, her family have created ‘Audrey’s Visual Wishlist’ and donations have helped her create a series of memories. This year, she has already been to see the Statue of Liberty in New York.
Audrey is the great-granddaughter of Eric Tyrrell, who was the captain of the Harwich and Parkeston team which played in the FA Amateur Cup final at Wembley in 1953.
It promises to be a real family day out as, in addition to the football, there will be bouncy castles, an ice cream van and live music. Gates will open at 12.30pm.
Again, tickets can be purchased online or you can simply pay on the gate. Entrance is £5 for adults, £3.50 OAPs, £3 children. Under-4s are free.
